Successful Conflict Resolution Approaches

Regardless of the industry or products your company produces, conflict and the way it is approached is a universal challenge in the workplace. Conflict will provide one of two outcomes:

Healthy - seeing conflict as a catalyst for positive change, growth and dynamic communication. In the natural progression of team development, conflict is seen as necessary to move a team into a higher level of productivity and effectiveness.

Unhealthy - seeing conflict as something to be avoided at all cost. The results include a negative impact on morale, ineffective communication and widespread low productivity. Avoiding conflict breeds a company culture that places everyone in a defensive posture.

 

Our four hour session includes:

  • Each participant completing the Thomas-Kilmann Conflict Mode Instrument
  • Training of the five modes of conflict resolution and their impact in the workplace
  • Group facilitation of the effects of conflict within the team
  • Developing a plan of action for when conflict occurs and how it is to be addressed
  • Interactive team-building activities to assist in the training objectives
